Hunza Autumn Tour — 7 Days, 2027 All-Inclusive
The Hunza Autumn Tour is one of the most visually spectacular tours in our portfolio. Every October and November, Hunza Valley transforms into a painter's canvas — apricot orchards and poplar-lined irrigation channels turn brilliant gold, amber and rust-red against the stark white of freshly-snowed Karakoram peaks.
Why October in Hunza?
Autumn in Hunza Valley rivals — and for many visitors surpasses — the famous cherry blossom spring. The golden foliage is uniquely intense: apricot leaves turn deep yellow-orange, poplars become columns of gold and the harvested terraces take on rich ochre tones. All of this unfolds below Rakaposhi (7,788 m) and Ultar Sar (7,388 m) with their fresh October snowfall gleaming white against the autumn gold below.
Highlights
Eagle's Nest (Duikar, 3,200 m): An aerial perspective of the entire golden valley spreading below, with Karakoram giants filling the horizon. Sunrise here in October is extraordinary.
Baltit Fort: The 700-year-old fortress surrounded by autumn-coloured apricot groves is one of Pakistan's most iconic autumn scenes.
Attabad Lake: The vivid turquoise lake contrasts magnificently with surrounding autumn-coloured hillsides and snow-dusted peaks.

Why Karakoram Venture
Because the people who take you up this mountain are from it. Our guides grew up in these valleys, and they are our own team — not a booking desk handing you to whoever is cheapest that week. Every one of them holds a guide licence from DTS Gilgit-Baltistan and the Federal DTS, renewed each year, and worked at least five years in the region before applying for it. Most also hold Wilderness First Aid.
Because the safety is real, and we will name it rather than imply it. A satellite phone travels in every camp, we hold established helicopter-rescue contacts for this region, and we tell you exactly which travel insurance to carry. Budget operators cut precisely these things, because you cannot see them on a web page.
Because the price is honest. Local infrastructure is why $900 per person covers the trip from Islamabad rather than a stripped-down base rate. Exactly what it includes — and the handful of things it does not — is set out above.
